Title
Hands-on Skill Development for Indigenous Adolescent Girls in the Buffer Zone Area of Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve (KTWR)
a. Hands-on Skill Development – The project provided targeted vocational skills to adolescent girls from indigenous and marginalized households in the KTWR buffer zone.
b. Udghosan Training (Speech Training) – Equipped girls with public speaking and communication skills to enhance confidence and leadership.
c. Homestay Training – Built capacity for eco-tourism services, enabling households to earn through community-based tourism.
d. Beautician Training – Provided practical skills in personal grooming and beauty services to support self-employment.
e. Bamboo Handicraft Training – Strengthened traditional craftsmanship by promoting bamboo-based enterprises and value-added products.

To develop employable skills among indigenous adolescent girls and youth in buffer zone areas, fostering income generation and self-reliance.

Impact
The project successfully developed market-oriented skills among 140 community members, especially girls and youth. It enhanced employment opportunities, reduced dependency on natural resources, and promoted sustainable livelihoods while strengthening local capacity for conservation-linked development.
